Newly formed James Fisher Subsea brings together all group diving and ROV services to provide a world-leading subsea capability.
JF Subsea, a subset of James Fisher and Sons plc, is the result of recent merger activity to create an exciting new specialist diving division. James Fisher and Sons' air and Nitrox diving, dive equipment, ROV assets and operations will be brought together under one umbrella. Binding Osiris and Fendercare’s diving operations together, a single diving entity will be forged which will be supplemented with Subsea Vision (ROVs) and M&DS (diving equipment supply) to provide a group-wide subsea solution.
‘This initiative means we can now market our capabilities as one strong James Fisher brand,’ says Martyn Muntingh, managing director of the new division. ‘It’s about all-new excellence under the sea deploying a joined-up approach to better service our customers and streamline our operations.’
After five years working for Fendercare and growing the business in South East Asia, Martyn has returned to the UK to focus on Fendercare’s subsea services (made up of Fendercare diving, M&DS and Subsea Vision) before the merger with Osiris to form the new James Fisher Subsea division. ‘We are very excited by this move,’ says Martyn, ‘we have some of the best people in the industry which means the new division will have a deep understanding of subsea diving in renewable, civils and ordnance as well as oil and gas projects worldwide.’
