JFMS expands European presence as it opens new base in Hamburg
James Fisher Marine Services (JFMS) is pleased to announce the opening of a new base in Hamburg, Germany, as it continues to grow its portfolio and expand services internationally.
Hamburg is one of the largest commercial ports in Europe and will provide convenient access to a number of key locations, while it will also help foster stronger connections with both existing and potential clients in the region, being the shore-base for most of the major North Sea wind farm developers.
This decision comes as the next logical step for JFMS as it continues to experience rapid growth, in particular on the back of notable offshore wind projects around the UK –with the most recent strategic acquisitions of Rotos360 and EDS HV strengthening the services it offers clients on a turnkey basis.
JFMS, part of James Fisher and Sons plc, boasts a successful track record of delivery to high-profile UK wind farms including Walney, Rampion, East Anglia ONE, London Array, Galloper, Kentish Flats Extension among others, which it is confident of replicating on offshore assets around Germany.
These include its full range of construction support and O&M services, topsides and subsea BoP services, cable monitoring and repair, diving, UXO, ROV and survey, together with market-leading oil exchange and blade IRM services.
Martin Dronfield, director, strategy and business development at JFMS, said:
“We are the UK’s leading provider of integrated marine services. Our new base in Hamburg represents an important extension of our activities in the UK and will increase our overall presence in Germany, an important hub for offshore wind which is a strategically important market for us.”
JFMS is exhibiting at the world’s leading expo for wind energy, WindEnergy Hamburg (25-28 September), alongside sister companies EDS HV and James Fisher Subsea Excavation. Find out more about its integrated services to the renewables sector and visit Stand B7 635.
