James Fisher and Sons plc is the proud headline sponsor of East Anglian Air Ambulance (EAAA) Only The Brave 2018
Thirty-five ‘Peli-CANs’ comprising of employees from Fendercare, ScanTech Offshore, Rotos 360 and James Fisher Marine Services (JFMS) are ready for the thrills of this year’s challenge.
EAAA is a 365-day-a-year helicopter emergency medical service (HEMS) covering Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Norfolk and Suffolk. EAAA do not receive regular direct government funding and the £11.8 million to be raised this year comes directly from charitable donations.
This year, our participants of the mud race will run a 6-mile mud run with up to 35 obstacles which will demand a combined effort of running, crawling, climbing and scrambling in order to cross the finish line.
Martin Myhill Sisley, managing director of services at JFMS, said:
“James Fisher and Sons plc is a significant value-adding business in East Anglia, employing circa 300 people in the region. It’s our people, employees and clients, that drive our companies, shape our service, and make us what we are today.
“We’re immensely proud to be headline sponsors of the event and hope to raise significant funds for EAAA, a fantastic cause that provides an invaluable service to the community across East Anglia.”
Catrina Laskey, events manager at EAAA, said:
“We are thrilled to have James Fisher and Sons plc as our headline sponsor of Only The Brave this year, and it’s fantastic to see them really getting involved by putting a big team forward to take part on the day. Their support will help us to keep our helicopters in the sky, so we’d like to say a big thank you on behalf of everyone at EAAA.”
