Innovative wind turbine cured blade repair - RENUVO UV
The company has also helped to develop the Gurit Renuvo ultra violet (UV) cured blade repair method - RENUVO UV. The RENUVO UV method cures blades 25 times faster than the conventionally used Epoxy curing, cutting the curing time for a large repair from six hours to five minutes. The UV system is also effective in temperatures as low as 5C and as high as 30C in conditions of up to 90% humidity. This increases weather windows for repairs, significantly reducing any downtime.
This innovative and efficient method has resulted in significant time saving, reduced costs and improved safety through the use of Rotos's unique suspended work platforms.
